She finds more nature in one square foot of forest than most people can find in an entire park. And she has honed her skills of observation all over the world – including three science expeditions to Antarctica. Betty has worked for the University of Illinois developing study abroad programs for educators. She’s also been on the Executive Committee (now Council) for Polar Educators International. Betty works at bringing books and her marvelous teaching skills to Zambia.
